| National Championships 2008 |
 National Champions!!!
One Life athletes show the country how to make it count. 5 athletes travelled down to Wakefield to compete in the National Triathlon Championships on Sunday 6th July and achieved a remarkable set of results.

Its not about records, or world championships (Barry excepted), its about enjoying our sport and being able to achieve what we can.

| Fran Ronan selected for IRC's |
Fran Ronan has qualified to represent the North East region at the Inter Regional Championships which take place in Crawley last weekend of August.

| Haltwhistle Children's Triathlon |
One Life Racing hosted it’s first Children’s Triathlon on Saturday in Haltwhistle.
The early morning start didn’t deter the juniors with over 100 children competing from the North East and Cumbria with an excellent turn out of 37 kids from One Life and 30 coming form Eaglesfield Tri in Cockermouth. |

You'll notice some changes to the bike and run routes. Considerable funding has been requested to make Druridge Bay a premier Triathlon site in the North East of England.

| Cleveland Short Course |
Well done to all the One Life guys and Angela who did the event at Ellerton Lake. Cracking results from Angela Wylie who was 3rd Female Vet, Paul Jones who was 12th overall, Dave Stevens was 33rd.

| Barry Jameson - World Champion |
 The World Age-Group Triathlon Championships in Vancouver seem to have been a nightmare for most of the competitors. Very cold water, high winds and continuous rain have been the main features of the events which eventually caused the Standard Distance races to be changed to a duathlon (3km run – 40km bike – 10km run), but only after all the ladies up to F50-54 had already gone, leaving the remaining ladies and all the men without a swim.

| One Life Training Day Success |
On Sunday 20th April, One Life Triathlon Club hosted a club training day which took place at Hexham. With 67 athletes attending the day it was a huge success and credit to the organiser. The day started with the athletes registering for the day.
There was a full structured day of activities for both senior and junior athletes organised by Head Coach, Barry Jameson. |
| Galashiels Sprint Triathlon |
| Sunday, 13 April 2008 turned out to be a lucky day for One Life Racing competitors taking part in the Galashiels Triathlon. Seven members entered in varying categories – Team, Male, Ladies Vet, Senior Vet Male and Vintage Male and they almost cleaned them out of trophies. |
