For the last 2 seasons I have been self coached, but last year I felt I was losing direction. I had known Paul for a while; got to work closely with him on the BTF Level 3 Coaching course. I was impressed with his knowledge; his way of thinking, so when I decided to take on a coach Paul was the obvious choice.
My target for 2012 is to have a good, solid season in my first year as a Supervet. My ‘A’ race is Ironman
I joined F4L Coaching to give my training structure and focus.
My target for 2012 is to be the best triathlete I can be – drop weight, run less than 7 minute miles over 5k and swim 400m in less than 6 minutes consistently.
I originally joined F4L Coaching as I had been competing at triathlon for a couple of years, but my performances had reached a plateau and despite training more I wasn’t seeing the improvements that I was looking for. My main target race of the year are the European Sprint Championships in Eilat, Israel in April.
After that my initial plan is to compete in…
I decided to join F4L early 2010 after a really dull winter and some early season disappointments. By July of that season I had won a bronze at the ETU European Sprint Championships in Ponteverda.
During that race I injured myself and haven’t really been able to run since, but Paul and I have worked around this…
I have now completed my first season in tri completing 3sprints a relay and finally an Olympic distance tri, training is still
By making my own schedules, I was get ok results, but kept having injuries, and in hindsight was massively over-training. The latter having a negative impact on personal/social wellbeing, as always shattered.
I joined F4L based on a recommendation from an athlete who has been getting great results, and marked improvements on his
I have recently signed up with Paul and F4L but I am greatly impressed! I met Paul when we were both competing at the Provence 70.3 in September 2011. I think it was actually my Dad who met Paul first and said I just met this really nice guy and he’s a coach – he could help you! I then got chatting to Paul as I waited petrified and him calmly at the mass swim start of the 70.3! It seemed odd as I reflected later that at the start of that race I was already talking…
I wanted some direction on how to train for triathlons and prior to joining f4l was finding it difficult to get the motivation to train. Now all I have to do is go out and do the training and the planning and technical side is left to Paul. I am now very motivated and throughly enjoy every aspect of my training.
My main goals for 2012 are to perform well at the three…
I joined F4L coaching in August 2011, because I had just completed my first sprint tri, and was bitten by the triathlon bug immediately. I have a running background, and have been competing for my local running club for two years, when I picked up a bad back injury, that left me unable to run for four months.
In this time, I decided to swim and cycle to try and compensate for my lack of running. I really started to enjoy these two disciplines, so as soon as I could run again, there was only one thing that I wanted to do, Try a triathlon!
I joined F4L Coaching in August 2011, after gaining an interest in triathlon at the beginning of that year.
I have always been a very keen runner, and had put in a good year with Alnwick Harriers in 2010. After completing 23 running races of various distances, I felt I had hit a stale point, and lost my enthusiasm for running. This is when, with support and encouragement from my husband, and fellow competitors, I decided to indulge in the wonderful world of triathlon. At first, I attempted to train using my own training plan…
I joined F4L Coaching as I felt stale – same old miles, same old results, with very little progress over the last few seasons.
My targets for 2012 are Mallorca 70.3, Alp d’Huez long course triathlon and some improvement in my performance in…
I have been competing in triathlons for three years and during this time the majority of my training has been based around stuff I have read in magazines and books. I have always tried to change things around and set different goals each season but I was becoming bored with my training plus my race results have not improved as much as I would like them to do.
I knew it was time to change but I was unsure exactly what to do…
I’m about to start my third season in Triathlon. My first season was about making it over the finish line in Sprint and then Standard distance events.
The year past I hoped to improve a lot and I knew I could beat my previous race times. It was during this time that I knew my training approach wasn’t optimal. There was almost no plan to my training. I did what I fancied on the day. In an attempt to improve my training…
I joined F4L Coaching in March 2010 because I was new to the Triathlon world and wasn’t sure where to begin the training! I am now about to being my third season and with the help of F4L Coaching I am aiming to train hard and be prepared to face the Mallorca 70.3 Half Ironman at my very best. This year I am aiming targeting mainly the standard distance and half Ironmans.
