Well done to all those who competed in the One Life Kids Duathlon.  There was some fantastic racing, some excellent cycling skills and great running from the One Life Kids.  Full results are available here.

The Club operates from Lindisfarne Middle School Sports Centre, Alnwick. The sessions will involve running and cycling skills as well as fundalmentals of movement. As the weather inproves (if it ever improves) we will use the facilities at the school to improve cycling technique also. We will do one off swim sessions but with Alnwick Dolphins and Morpeth ASC just down the road it seems daft to hire the pool regularly.

The sessions will run from 4pm (arrive 3:45) to 5pm on a fortnightly basis.

One Life Kids has already been identified as an outlet for British Cycling's Go-Ride Scheme for children in schools and is affiliated to British Triathlon and British Cycling.

One Life will host the Northumberland Triathlon Festival on 17th & 18th June 2006 at Druridge Bay Country Park. Part of the festival will involve a Children's Duathlon on closed roads (courtesy of Castle Morpeth Borough Council). For more information on this event and the other events at the festival please check out the One Life website: www.makeitcount.org.uk

One Life Kids will be working with the School Sports Partnerships in Alnwick, Berwick, Morpeth and Hexham to provide kids aged 8 to 16 with as many opportunities as possible to take part in multisport activity (er... Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquathlon, Cycling etc). In addition to the club we have school Aquathlons, Duathlons and Triathlons taking place throughout the summer in Northumberland.

Finally One Life Kids is part of the Club Development Project run by North Country Leisure.  The CDP is helping clubs in the area develop towards Sport England Club Mark.
