| Well done Ian Simon & Helen Jones at this weekend's Couples Challenge Middle Distance race.... |
| Time to re-group, rest up and then the big push for the finish... |
| Its July - the weather itself has gone south for the winter - and everyone is starting to feel a little jaded... what to do? |
| Come on!!! |
No, no, no... not England in the World Cup - it'll last another couple of matches and then we'll be supporting France or Italy. I mean bloody hell, our goalkeeper (the best we've got in the this entire country!) scored a touchdown for god sakes!
What I mean is F4L athletes are starting to fly... in Ian's case to Budapest for the ITU World Age Group Champs. Qualifying in not only the Sprint race but the Oly dist too. Think he'll have to do the Olympic dist... click read more to find out why! |
| Perhaps I should predict the lottery...??? |

| Well done Ian - winning the 40-45 Age Group at Grendon and books his place in Hungary in September. |
| The season continues... |
F4L athletes have been in action recently: Angel lines up for her first multi-sport race since that crash, Ian Simon has qualified for the World Championships by winning the Vets category at Grendon, Kev Marshalsay has raised a few eyebrows at Ashington and Richard Agan has got very close to a pb in a 10k...

| Return of the AK47 and good luck |
Plenty of F4L athletes racing this weekend: Angel (the new improved titanium re-inforced AK47) runs a 5km for the first time since spinal injury... welcome back! Ian Aitchison, Paul Jones and Neil Craig are all racing in the Borders of Scotland in the early season Galashiels Sprint Tri - PJ racing for the first time in nearly two years.
In the meantime Richard Agan, Ian Simon, Kevin Marshalsay and Jack Ferguson will be putting the finishing touches to their training ahead of the Ashington Triathlon and other races next weekend.
Have a good one folks! |
| Race season is upon us! |
OK - 2010 race season is just round the corner. So I thought I'd take a moment to write about race prep. Let's make it simple though.
Race prep begins at least 48hrs before the race. Make sure kit is ready, checked and packed the day before the day before you need it!

| Inspiration... |
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh... |
