ADDITIONAL UPDATES
Saturday 20th June:
Registration will open from 1pm to 5pm
You will need to register and then rack
ALL REGISTRATION & RACKING WILL TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY
If you cannot make it - someone else can register and rack on your behalf
WE WILL NEED TO KNOW IN ADVANCE and THEY WILL REQUIRED ID (your licence) |

| Open Water Swim Event |
Northumberland Sport is delighted to announce that as part of the Northumberland Triathlon Festival at Druridge Bay Country Park, there will be an Open Water Swim taking place on Saturday 20 June 2009.
The swim is an open event for anyone aged 14 or over interested in trying a 1500m Open Water Swim in Ladyburn Lake.

| NORTHUMBERLAND TRIATHLON FESTIVAL - UPDATE |
Dear Competitor
After taking the really difficult decision to cancel the 2008 One Life Standard Distance Triathlon yesterday the organizing committee have been inundated with enquiries about what happens to the entry fees. I hope you will appreciate that there have been some pretty significant expenses already incurred for the event.
Being positive:
The 2009 One Life Standard Distance Triathlon is the BRITISH TRIATHLON NATIONAL AGE GROUP CHAMPIONSHIPS and takes place on Sunday 21st June.
Everyone who had an entry for Sunday 14th September will AUTOMATICALLY be entered into next year’s event.
However, if you wish to withdraw you can claim a FULL REFUND up to Friday 31st October. Please write and request your refund at:
northumberlandtriathlon@yahoo.co.uk
If you plan to hold on to your entry - you need do no more, other than keep an eye on this web (www.makeitcount.org.uk) page for event updates as the race draws near.

| NORTHUMBERLAND TRIATHLON FESTIVAL - CANCELLED |
Unfortunately owing to the adverse weather last weekend and the impact this has had on ground conditions and the lake at Druridge Bay , for health & safety reasons, this year's Northumberland Triathlon Festival has been cancelled.
I can only apologise we have tried to come up with various solutions including sea swims and duathlons but the state of the park mean we simply can not make it happen.
